You don’t need to lift heavy weights to get sculpted toned arms! Just your own bodyweight or a exercise band can help you achieve lasting results. Some of my favorite bodyweight exercises for all over toning arms are push ups and pull ups.
Exercise Bands are awesome! Most basic bands come in 3 categories of strength light, medium, or heavy resistance. I have a set of all 3 and I LOVE to work my arms with them. Plus they are great for travel to keep up with your workouts!
Here are 3 basic exercises when performed with proper form can really work the arms and get them ripped! Once you grasp these you can play around with reps and resistance to challenge yourself.
Exercise #1 Bicep Pulse and Hold
Using a medium resistance band stand step on the band so its equal on both sides and simply hold a bicep curl. Lightly pulse for a set of 25 then release. Repeat this 3x then last set I hold until I feel the burn about 1 minute then release.
Exercise #2 Tricep Press
Using a medium or heavy band in one hand and holding on behind your body with the other completely straighten and bend the arm to work the tricep. Taking a forward foot stance and a slight lean forward will help set you in the proper form to target the tricep. You can add more resistance with the opposing hand holding the band. Do 3 sets of 20 with full range of motion and end doing a small pulsing final set to finish.
Exercise #3 Shoulder Lateral Raise
Using a light to medium resistance step on the band so its equal on both sides. Slightly bend your knees and straighten your back (no rounding), you can even lead forward a little. Keeping your arms straight lift them to the side just to shoulder height and lower. Do 3 sets of 20 and you will feel the burn!
Bands are not only functional and easy but an effective way to work your arms so give them a try and let me know what you think!
Be well! 🙂
