Lets face it keeping up with supplements can be a daunting task and pricey! Of course I am a huge advocate for a REAL food diet as your #1 health insurance policy but supplements are important. Especially if you are dealing with a particular health problem or lacking in the diet department. With that said there is one super food supplement that everyone could benefit from taking.
Liver gram for gram is one of the most nutrient dense foods humans can eat. Liver was once a dinner staple as our ancestors truly knew its healing capabilities but this ancestral health food has slowly lost popularity as the years have passed. Thats where desiccated liver supplements can be super beneficial as they are a REAL food supplement!!

Dr. Weston Price traveled the world studying diets of traditional cultures and found organ meats were always prized for their all-encompassing nutrient content.

Liver contains something scientists call the “anti-fatigue factor.“ It’s like taking an extreme energy pill but all natural! Cooking and eating it is best but if that idea just grosses you out try a supplement.

Liver is high in B vitamins, contains a highly usable form of iron, has natures most concentrated source of vitamin A, is our best source of copper and other trace elements such as zinc and chromium, and is abundant in CoQ10 which is a nutrient that is especially important for cardio-vascular function.

For some (like me ) the taste of liver is strong so I “hide” it in ground grass fed beef. Here is how I like to sneak in liver into my family’s diet! I purée pastured beef livers in food processor, sauté in ghee/coconut oil, then mix in with ground grass fed beef. You would never know it mixes in so well! I use this ground liver and beef mix for recipes that call for ground meat such as chili or meatballs.

If cooking liver is not your thing (I get it!) then a supplement would be the next best option. These HERE are all you need as a superfood multivitamin!
