Geez ever since my baby #4 was born it seems I don’t have a second to spare! Really I felt this way with 3 kids but 4 has just added fuel to the fire of busyness. This however has NOT deterred me from living a healthy lifestyle. As a matter of fact I have made it my #1 priority to take care of ME so I can be an amazing mother and wife each day energized and feeling good!
Eating healthy while juggling 4 kiddos has its challenges. Meal plans on Sunday keep me on track and cooking has to be done at lunch time many days to be sure I get a healthy meal on the table when we all finally get to sit down at night! I also rely on healthy REAL food snacks to keep me and my kids fueled throughout the day. Somedays you need a little something different to snack on besides the typical fruits and veggies…
Here are my latest Yummy REAL food on the go snacks which are all mostly paleo…..
NIKKI’S COCONUT BUTTER – VANILLA CAKE BATTER- I Literally just eat it right out of the jar! A few spoonfuls is all you need and full of healthy fats to keep you full!
SASHA INCHI SEEDS-These little seeds are comprised of 33% protein, have all essential amino acids and have an excellent omega fatty acid profile.
NICKS STICKS– Grass fed beef jerky that is moist, flavorful and full of good protein.
DR. MERCOLA’S PRO PUFF PROTEIN BAR and EVO HEMP cashew cacao bar-both bars have clean minimal ingredients and pack a punch of protein and healthy fats.
GO RAW SPROUTED PUMPKIN AND SUNFLOWER SEEDS- sprouting seeds multiplies powerful nutrients and unlocks enzymes to super-charge digestion. These seed are very high in protein, low in carbs, and contain loads of mineral including iron, potassium, magnesium and zinc, as well as niacin and vitamin B3.
ROYAL HAWAIIAN SEA SALT AND PEPPER MACADAMIA NUTS-delicious and FULL of healthy fats to keep you satisfied and full!
TRADER JOES APPLE & COCONUT BAR- sweet and simple. It contains only 2 ingredients exactly what it says apple and coconut!
LETS DO ORGANIC 100% COCONUT FLAKES and STEVES PALEO GOODS DRIED STRAWBERRIES. I pack up some of both in a baggie and eat them together! The coconut has a nice crunch that goes well with the not to sweet strawberries.
POWERBALLS– These amazing little balls are packed with nutrition plus they are yummy and the kids LOVE Them. You can make your own easily at home with an array of wholesome ingredients such as oats, seeds, nut butters, protein powder, and coconut. When I don’t have a stash made of my own I recently found some already made from RANDAZZOS’s a market in Clinton Township, Michigan that contain good clean ingredients and are seriously delish!
WHIPS PARMESAN CHEESE CRISPS-seriously insane how yummy these are! Made of only parmesan cheese, thats it! Crispy, crunchy, salty, yummy and grain free! So good on their own or on a salad instead of croutons.
