You guys I am so excited to share with you this amazing way to improve the quality of your coffee to power up your workout!

If you are anything like me eating a heavy meal early in the morning before some intense working out is out of the question. The problem is that I NEED some fuel for my HIIT (high intensity interval training) workouts especially Syphus Training.

Believe it or not working out first thing in the morning on an empty stomach is actually good for fat burning! Training on an empty stomach will effectively force your body to burn fat! Studies show exercise and fasting together yield acute increases in oxidative stress, which actually benefits your muscle. I personally have experienced this myself since eliminating large carb heavy pre-workout meals!

With this said I still feel I need a little fuel to power up my workouts in the morning. Thats where I have now turned my morning coffee into my superfood pre workout drink. Its loaded with antioxidants, protein, healthy fats, and of course caffeine the perfect pre workout combo!

Here is the exact recipe I am using and already feeling the benefits!

Mushroom coffee + MCT oil + 2 tablespoons collagen + Raw cream + cinnamon + stevia

Mushroom Coffee – This unique blend contains 100% organic arabica coffee with 2 functional mushrooms. Lion’s Mane mushroom to support your productivity, energy, stamina, and focus. Wild crafted, organic Chaga mushroom to help support immune functions and lower inflammation. (Don’t worry , you can’t taste the mushrooms! )

MCT OIL – “MCTs” are medium-chain triglycerides, a form of saturated fatty acid that has numerous health benefits, ranging from improved cognitive function to better weight management. MCT’s provide a shot of energy and help you train harder and longer.  MCT’s are also extremely beneficial to the brain and can help restore gut health! MCT are unique in that they are burned by the body for energy or “fuel” instead of being stored as fat.

Collagen – A vital protein with many fitness benefits. Collagen reduces joint pain, boosts metabolism, muscle mass and energy output!

Raw Cream – raw cream provides a ton of healthy fats, protein, vitamins and minerals and is a much healthier option than boxed artificially sweetened creamers.  The cream also turns my coffee into a light luscious color which for some reason I prefer!

Cinnamon – Cinnamon is one of the most beneficial spices on earth! Cinnamon encourages insulin uptake in muscle cells which helps to build muscle rather than store fat. A compound in cinnamon encourages body-fat reduction by enhancing glucose burning inside your fat cells.

Stevia– Raw leaf stevia IN POWDER FORM  is my sweetener of choice and I drizzle just a little in for the perfect amount of sweetness!

Put all the above ingredients into your mug. Use a small hand blender to help blend everything together!

Boom! There you have a powerful cup of joe !! 

Forget the pre workout protein shakes and turn your morning cup of coffee into a super food nutrient dense drink with lasting fitness benefits!
